Sun pushing dev guys onto openoffice for mac project
I think this is good news. As much as I’ve wanted to like OpenOffice, if I want to write a letter I find Word *so* much easier to use. Likewise excel and spreadsheets. Hopefully this news will mean that some improvements appear (although….with past Sun software experiences, who knows :-)).
Similarly with the announcements announcements about Sun, Lightning and OO - sounds good.
I suspect I’ll be hoping Microsoft port Outlook to MacOS (no, not that mess that ships with Office for Mac - I mean real Outlook) soon but it’s still good to see Sun ploughing some effort into the user side of things at last
