Gah…. It must be Xmas
Sitting here this evening, mich wrapping presents and I’m watching repeats of top gear (I’m not allowed to wrap as I’m apparently “utterly shit” at it) and I begin to realise that it isn’t quite as warm in the living room as it should be.
I quickly realise that not only is it chilly but it is also quiet - the boiler is not running. Gah.
I’ve got it going again but this is the second time in a couple of weeks it has done this - I reckon it knows I have plans to replace it in the new year so is now getting ready to die completely on Christmas day 
Might pick up a spare thermocouple tomorrow just in case (and then hope that it isn’t something more serious dying!)
