Finger news!
Finally, East Grinstead have a bed (and Maidstone manage to tell them they need it) and all of a sudden it’s a world of difference. Plenty of staff, blood sugar levels taken without problem, Dr comes to visit within an hour etc etc. I don’t know why Maidstone hospital is crap but it is. Very very odd.
Op this morning and they think the finger is saved but as they had to stretch the skin so much (!) it maybe a slightly odd shape. Not too bad an outcome if that’s the worst of it. Most impressive thing is that he is allowed home tomorrow! 3 weeks sat bored witless in Maidstone waiting for cockup after cockup to be sorted and once he finally gets sorted it is all over within 2 days. No wonder they have a shortage of beds at Maidstone…
So that’s all pretty good news.
Not so good news is that while Mich was in Tesco in Dover this morning some bastard drove into the side of her car and stuffed the front wing in and scratched the bumper. Given the bastard didn’t leave any details that’s a couple of years of no claims and 150 quid excess gone (and no, they don’t have and cameras covering the car park - we’ve asked

Oh dear not good. Glad to hear your brother-in-law is getting sorted out though - three weeks is ridiculous!

Never thought I would say this: but Yay for East Grinstead!
Praps the other driver didn’t leave details cos they had heard of Michs teacher stare.
