Still at Maidstone
Yep - he is still stuck in Maidstone.
For several days now they have been waiting for the MRSA test to return before being able to transfer him to East Grinstead. This test they have been told several times takes two days….and was taken on Saturday. Still, finally, it returned/was found today and it’s all clear so they ring East Grinstead to arrange the transfer ASAP to get the response “Who? Never heard of him. Why does he need to be transfered?”
It’s not clear whose fault this is - East Grinstead claim to have not heard anything and Maidstone are not claiming anything (given their past record I know where I would look) but one of the staff at Maidstone suggested that he might want to go to a certain office where he could lodge an official complaint.
Brother in law heads off to make a complaint only to find the office is closed early. Kinda sums it up really.
EG have a meeting at 9am tomorrow to work out if they can take him (assuming Maidstone have managed to send the Fax that thep promised…). Hopefully it’ll finally get sorted.

The NHS confuses me somewhat. From experience (and yeah I get to see more of the NHS than a lot of people at the moment) they are either really very good or really very bad.
Hope things go well for the BoL.

Yeah, same here. Although I’m beginning to thing that it is maidstone hospital - they were crap when my sister was in there having a baby. William harvey has always seemed fine.
Just don’t get ill in maidstone!
