Cheating at university? Surely not…
Firstly, I’m blogging this using a funky dashboard widget on shiny MacOS Tiger - they fact that you are reading this suggests that it works quite well 
Driving home this evening there was a report on radio5 about universitys and the levels of plagiarism in UK universities.A couple of things made me listen to this. Firstly, they obtained the info using the FoI act - I remember this request coming in to the uni as it was one of the first that we had had and I remember wondering who it was and what they were up to. Secondly, out of the 60 odd unis that they asked only two responded saying no cases had been recorded.
Oxford and Cambridge. How convenient. I guess they are all far too clever to feel the need to cheat - or just maybe the authorities don’t like to look to hard. I know a couple of graduates from Cambridge (admittedly none from Oxford) and I really, really can’t believe these stats.
Kinda makes you wonder how true to life any other FoI returns would be…
