new toys
bought a couple of new toys the last couple of days. Firstly, dad dropped the camera while on holiday and managed to stuff the focusing ring on my 70-210 zoom 
Soon sourced a much nicer 75-300 zoom with the USM motor. It’s not the sharpest lens about but is better than the crappy old Sigma would ever have been and with the ultrasonic motor should hopefully be a bit quicker at focusing.
Of course, a nice new lens needs a nice new camera. As I’ve not really been taking anything other than the odd snap here and there due to the hassle of processing I finally took the jump to digital that I’ve been promising myself and with much provoking from jam ended up with a 300d.
Jam gave in pretty soon after and ended up with one as well 
Hopefully will all turn up by the weekend – mucho playing me thinks
