F1 news

Radio 5 are this morning reporting that in an attempt to prevent the problems seen last year at the Bahrain GP with sand storms sprinklers have been fitted to the track. These will randomly trigger to damp down the sand and prevent it causing problems. Top news - this would be spectacular. Listen before midday to hear it :-)

In other news it seems that the pope is soon to pop off. Given how ill he has been and the fact that he is 84 why is anyone surprised at this? Sure, he is a very important person to a lot of people across the world but we really don’t need a running commentary on his last breaths do we? Let the bloke die with a little peace. An announcement that he is very ill and another to announce he has died (assuming he will which looks pretty likely) - thats all that is needed.

Talking of death, Terri Schiavo has finally died after years of arguing. Whether you think she should have been allowed to die years ago (or maybe she effectively did die years ago?) or not at least now she can rest in peace without the worlds media peering at her. If I ever end up in a state like that please someone put me out of my misery and let others around me get on with their lives.
