What is it with me and snow?

Around this time last year, I got sent up to Sunderland Uni (great bacon sarnies btw) to look at their email system. The two days I visited coincided with the coldest, snowiest spell that we had had for a while. I also had to buy new shoes on the way up which set off an explosives alarm at Gatwick airport so I ended up having to have my new shoes electronically analyzed while I stood around in socks with a rather large security guy standing over me…. anyway I digress…

This Tuesday I am heading up to Birmingham for a few days for an Exim conference. Guess what? Bloody snow is predicted.

Maybe this is some sort of message telling me not to go north of London? I’m taking my old shoes this time – not that I expect the uk railways to have invested in shoe smelling technology just yet.

Oh god……snow and the uk railway network. Will I ever get back?

probably not. Don’t forget to kiss your wife and children goodbye. It could be a when did you last see your father moment.

If you don’t, can I have your computers? ;)
