bloody HP
Blimey. Its been a time…
Having finally got an access point installed in our meeting room (ha!) it turns out that my Ipaq although claiming to be WIFI compatible is only compatible with channels 12 and 13 if it runs the Spanish firmware.
Guess what channel we need to use in the meeting room :-(((
Arse. Maybe I ought to learn Spanish…
Finally sorted out a new mobile - Nokia 6230. Much shineyness. Was swayed by the offer of a bluetooth headset to go with it. Two new gadgets with bloooooooo leds was toooo much to resist
Got a couple of stuck pixels on the screen though which is irritating. Still, can’t be bothered to attempt to return it. Effort
As for O2, despite them being more efficient than usual in giving me my PAC code (under 20 mins!) the port didn’t quite go to plan. Orange sorted it in the end claiming that for some reason O2 had ported the number out but had put it into orphaned state. Dunno if this was an excuse from orange or it really was O2s fault but its gave me another reason to hate them
Was impressed that the new phone connected to my PC, synced with Outloop which pulled all of my calendar from the Sun calendar server on my first attempt. Technology that actually works? Nah, it must have crapped on something somewhere - I’ve just not found it yet
