Had my appraisal at work today. As always, a depressing list of projects not quite finished due to lack of resources followed by a long list of future projects that this time next year we can mark down as not quite finished.
Still, all good fun.
Watched trouble at the top last night – it was about some bloke who set up SpeedFerries last year running from Dover to Boulogne. The program was all about the problems he had had and in particular, about the suspected dirty tricks campaign that the existing ferry companies had launched against this new competition. At one point he said that last August he had got so paranoid that he was peering out of his Premier lodge bedroom window thinking that the cars that kept driving around and parking outside were spying on him…
At this point I felt slightly guilty….last August both sprog1 and sprog2 were ill so we were driving round and round the premier lodge and parking outside of his window in an attempt to get them alseep. Several evenings were sitting in the car looking dodgy but this was more to do with the fact that the kids had finally fallen asleep and we didn’t want to go home and risk waking them 
Sorry Mr Stavis. We aren’t *all* out to get you
